The Original Flamenco Festival ‘Jerez in Madrid’ begins today 8 August 2012 and runs until 2 September 2012 in Madrid.
The focus in this first festival, which hope to establish itself as an annual summer event, is on the distinctive style of flamenco from the ‘cradle of flamenco’: Jerez de la Frontera in the south of Spain.

18 August: Ezequiel Benítez – Pequeño Gran Vía
21 August: Luis el Zambo, Juana la del Pipa and Fernando Romero – Teatro Compac
21 August: Santiago Lara – Pequeño Gran Vía
22–26 August: Compañía de Mercedes Ruiz in PERSPECTIVAS – Teatro Compac
23 August: David Carpio – Pequeño Gran Vía
28 August: Jesús Méndez and Diego del Morao – Teatro Compac
29 August– 2 September: Compañía de Joaquín Grilo in LEYENDA PERSONAL – Teatro Compac
