About

I am a music journalist and an editor of books on Arabic and Spanish language and history, oriental manuscripts and music. Based in London, I write about classical music and classical guitar, particularly for Classical Guitar magazine in Britain and Gendai Guitar magazine in Japan, for whom I have been writing for over 20 years. I have contributed to the German contemporary composer dictionary, KDG – Komponisten der Gegenwart.
I was the founding Editor of the quarterly magazine Flamenco International. I love flamenco, which is why I set up this blog.

Therese, thank you so much for offering your insights into Flamenco, or should it be just flamenco. Although my focus is from that of a developing guitarist, the knowledge and cross-referencing you provide is invaluable in bringing flamenco to life as a visceral and multidimensional world. Thank you again and I look forward to chasing your clues and pointers into this passionate and rhythmic universe.

    Regards Jonathon

I came across when looking at some Pavo de Lucia internet finds. Most enjoyable, with really interesting archive items. I was wondering if you are still active on here as some of the items are quite old. However I see some 2020 details for Sadlers Wells so, I will watch your site with interest. Many thanks for a great source for all things flamenco.. jim
