The XVI Bienal de Flamenco in Seville runs from 15 September until 9 October 2010 carries the subtitle: ‘Flamenco de viva voz’ (Flamenco out loud) this year with an impressive list of flamenco artists performing there: Eva Yerbabuena, Rocío Molina, María Pagés, Rafaela Carrasco, Pastora Galván, Antonio Canales, Dorantes, Niño de Pura, Juan Carlos Romero, among many others, with the final concert being given by Paco de Lucía in the Teatro de la Maestranza on Saturday 9 October 2010.
There are exhibitions, book and CD launches, classes with Matilde Coral, Andrés Marín, and seminars and a tertulia flamenca about ‘Flamenco de cuartito en la Alameda’.
There are many flamenco activities running in parallel with the XVI Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, such as the series called Jóvenes & Flamencos (10–12 September 2010), organised in collaboration with the Instituto Andaluz de la Juventud and held in the open air in Alameda de Hércules.
