The Gala Bienal de Sevilla presents the leading award winners from La Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla including: Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía (for the best show with their Imágenes); Farruquito (best dancer); legendary singer ‘El Lebrijano’ (honoured for his artistic career); Antonio Reyes (best singer); and Manuel Valencia (best guitarist) on Thursday 25 February 2016. Olga Pericet, an outstanding flamenco dancer with a flamenco family history dating back generations, will give two UK premières: Pisada: A Woman’s End and Beginning with her Compañía Olga Pericet on Friday 26 February 2016 tickets, and will perform with flamenco dancer Marco Flores in Paso a Dos on Saturday 27 February 2016. The UK première of flamenco singer Esperanza Fernández’s De lo Jondo y Verdadero, brings the Festival to a close, where she performs with flamenco singer Marina Heredia, and Ana Morales, principal dancer of Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía on Sunday 28 February 2016. Tickets

FILM SCREENING: The 2014 film Más Allá del Flamenco – Beyond Flamenco, recorded during the 10th Anniversary of London’s Flamenco Festival, will be shown in the Pina Bausch Room 90 minutes prior to many of the Flamenco Festival performances.

Más Allá del Flamenco – Beyond Flamenco includes contributions from dancers Olga Pericet, Eva Yerbabuena, Israel Galván, Rocío Molina, Juan Carlos Lérida; pianist Sylvie Courvoisier; hip hop dancers Sébastien Ramirez and Honji Wang; costumer designer Holly Waddington; choreographer Akram Khan; violinist Vladimir Dimitrenko; and Miguel Marín, the director of Flamenco Festival.
