Film Director Carlos Saura has just released his latest film featuring an incredible number of fabulous flamenco artists: Sara Baras, Farruquito and his 13-year-old brother El Carpeta, Eva Yerbabuena, José Mercé, Estrella Morente, María Pages, Miguel Poveda, Diego Amador, Paco de Lucía, Manolo Sanlúcar, Tomatito…

 

The film, Flamenco Flamenco was shown last week at the Seville European Film Festival (5–13 November 2010).

where he was awarded the ‘Premio Ciudad de Sevilla’.

Speaking about the film, Carlos Saura pays tribute to the flamenco artists themselves. 

 

Carlos Saura will present Flamenco Flamenco in New York in January 2011 at the Film Society of the Lincoln Center.
