Flamenco Festival London 2025
celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with performances at
Sadler’s Wells, Kings Place, Jazz Café, Camden and flamenco workshops at the Acosta Dance Centre.
Sara Baras and her Ballet Flamenco opens Flamenco Festival London 2025
tonight Tuesday 27 May 2025 with Vuela – a tribute to the legendary flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía (1947–2014)
Like Sara Baras, many of the flamenco artists in this year’s anniversary programme have left indelible memories with us of their outstanding performances at previous editions of Flamenco Festival London over the past 20 years. The Artistic Director, Miguel Marín, has brought to London – and many other locations internationally – the range of everything that is exciting in flamenco, from legendary performers such as El Lebrijano, La Chana, Cristina Hoyos, Enrique Morente, María Pagés, Eva Yerbabuena, Rafael Riqueni, Tomatito to the cutting-edge creations of flamenco performers such as Rocio Molina, Olga Pericet, and Israel Galván.
This year’s inspired programme promises to bring all of these elements once more. The flamenco dancer Farruquito, who some may have had the great pleasure of seeing debut with his grandfather Farruco in 1987, will be joined by his son El Moreno in Con-Cierto Flamenco (4 June 2025). Other highlights include the UK premières of: Muerta de Amor by dancer and choreographer Manuel Liñán and his company (2 June 2025), Pineda: Romance popular en tres estampes by Patricia Guerrero – dancer, choreographer with the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía (6–7 June 2025), and Romancero del Baile Flamenco by the dancer and choreographer Mercedes Ruiz and the composer and guitarist Santiago Lara (3 June 2025).

at Sadler’s Wells Tuesday 27–Saturday 31 May 2025, 7.30pm; Sunday 1 June 2025, 3pm. Tickets
